For over 6 years The Forfar Roof Truss Co has donated £250 every month to local charities and worthy causes through the local paper The Forfar Dispatch. 

Beneficiaries are invited to apply for the money and the editorial staff of the paper decide on the most worthy. The main focus is that the causes are local, and of the kind that tend to be overlooked generally.  Past benficiaries include school playgroups, day care centres, sheltered housing schemes, theatre companies, swimming clubs, etc. 

 To date over £18,000 has been donated to organisations, individuals and charities in the Forfar area.
